Rory Concannon - Managing Director
Rory's career spans numerous years in the world of the Arts. Roles included CEO of Dublin International Film Festival, Executive Director of the National Theatre of Ireland - The Abbey. A keen sailor Rory spent a number of years as a sailing instructor both in Ireland and abroad.
Originally from the West of Ireland, Rory returned to his roots and his passion for the outdoors, nature, the environment and people's well-being and heads up Delphi Mountain Resort.
Rory's focus for Delphi is to offer a truly unique opportunity for personal regeneration and recreation in an outstanding natural location.
Aileen Concannon - General Manager
Aileen's career spans over eight years producing creative advertising for TV and radio for Guinness, AIB and many more large brands. Aileen holds an honours degree in commerce from NUIG.
Originally from the West of Ireland Aileen returned west and manages the day to day running of Delphi to ensure all guests have the best possible visit.
Aileen is quality focused and aims to maintain the highest possible standards at Delphi.
Olivia O' Reilly - Sales & Marketing Manager
Olivia's career spans over 10 years in business and communications. Olivia has been involved in management positions in three start up companies in the IT sector and served as CEO for a HIV/AIDS charity focusing on East Africa.
Originally from Galway, Olivia returned west and joined the team at Delphi in 2007 to manage the Sales & Marketing functions and grow business. In December 2007 Delphi was awarded the Irish Marketing Institute Western Region Tourism accolade for innovative marketing.
Olivia is passionate about the west of Ireland and holistic wellness and is a true believer and communicator of the fact that Delphi is a true escape from and antidote to the pressures of modern life.
Gerard Reidy - Culinary Artist
Originally from Co. Kerry Gerard started his training in Ireland up to the age of 19. He furthered his training and skill set in the UK and South Africa and headed up some of South Africa's finest and exclusive eateries including Blues and Five Flies. Gerard has received numerous accolades and awards for his sumptuous food creations. In 2006 Gerard retuned to his homeland and worked in the G Hotel in Galway.
Gerard has an enormous love and desire to work with natural, local produce from a sustainable supply chain. The focus of Gerard's food creations is on nature, the healing qualities of food, people's well being, restoration and vitality.
Gerard joined the team at Delphi in 2008 to focus on building a very special gastronomic experience through simple, locally sourced, wholesome, scrumptious, nourishing food.
Louise Waters - Spa/Wellness Manager
West of Ireland born Louise has worked and studied in alternative medicine for over 10 years. Louise has a Diploma in Aromatherapy, Swedish, Ayurvedic, & Indian Head massage, Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine, including modules specialising in Detoxification, Nutrition, Ear Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic Medicine.
Louise has vast spa experience and joined the team at Delphi in 2008 to head up the wellness centre with a focus on creating an environment for people to escape and take time to reconnect with themselves through a combination of nutrition, exercise and holistic balenotherapies.
Louise is passionate about having the highest standard treatments and result driven products while remaining organic, local and reducing the carbon footprint by providing a greener spa experience.
Ian Thornton - Head of Adventure
Ian is a native of Galway city and spent his youth exploring the mountains and sea surrounding Galway & Connemara. Ian has a strong back ground in competing at provincial, national and international levels in various sports with major achievements in Squash & Tennis. Ian captained the Irish Squash team at home internationals, European and World championships. Ian holds a BA and Masters in Engineering.
For the past 10 years Ian has focused on a career in Engineering and IT and has worked in some leading global software companies and start-ups. Ian joined the team at Delphi in 2008 to head up Adventure combining his passion for the outdoors and sport, with his business development and leadership skills. Ian is a qualified BCU3 star paddler, BCU level 2 coach, BMC SPA and Mountain Leadership trained.
